ALMOST HALF (47%) of all people in the UK would rather drive than walk for a journey of up to one mile and 48% drive to work instead of trying to use any other form of transport. Despite a one mile journey taking very little more time to walk than drive, only 38% of drivers said they would use their feet in place of the car for such short journeys. I seem to remember we did a similar headline to ‘Saab 9-4X Rolls Out’ almost exactly a year ago. But that headline – when Saab built 147 9-4X models at GM’s plant in Mexico - was for crash-testing and other pre-production requirements. This roll out of the 9-4X is the real deal.
Volkswagen Scirocco R goes out of production ahead of facelift
We have a bit of a soft sport for the VW Scirocco R, even if we wish it had the same 4WD setup as the Golf R. But it’s never really sold in the sort of numbers it should have. And now, ahead of a facelift for the Scirocco duie to arrive at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2014, Volkswagen has dropped the Scirocco R from its lineup.
